Yes, Joan Kennedy, country-blues vocalist/songwriter/guitarist is back - better than ever! This Canadian born and raised, Portland, Maine based "dynamo" is a 7-time CCMA (Canadian Country Music Association) award nominee, two-time JUNO award nominee, 4-time CMT (Country Music Television) award winner, and MCA recording artist, now is performing in full band mode.

The Joan Kennedy Trio
First, there's the acoustic based Joan Kennedy Trio. This "version" primarily performs original and traditional country, folk and bluegrass music (from Canada and the U.S.). The Joan Kennedy Band varies in size; based on the venue, country and music to be performed. But it is typically a 5 to 7-piece format. the U.S. band usually contains her trio musicians as well as Jeremy Dalton (on bass, percussion and vocals), and Steve Dow (on drum kit, percussion, and vocals).
The Joan Kennedy Band (both the U.S. or Canadian versions) perform Joan's "contemporary crossover country" and traditional music masterfully; with blues, funk and pop flavorings infused. When Joan Kennedy is playing in "full band" mode, her wide ranging musical talents really come out, and the music is "kicked up a notch or two "!
The bottom line is that seeing Joan solo, in the "The Joan Kennedy Trio" or in "The Joan Kennedy Band" is going to be a treat for any type of venue; from original/traditional folk and bluegrass (The Trio), to original "up-beat" new country crossover with blues, funk and pop flavorings (The Joan Kennedy Band).
